Some Information on Fall Guys Season 2

It’s fair to say these cute little jelly beans have blown up into quite a phenomena, so there’s no surprise that people are already asking when the start of Fall Guys Season 2 will be. Ever since the Season 1 logo and season progress tracker bar were spotted in the top corner of the Lobby screen, players have been considering what the next phase will be with Fall Guys, and thanks to recent announcements we now have a much better idea. Slime Climb may still be driving you up the wall with frustration, but take a deep breath and read on to find out everything we know about Fall Guys Season 2 so far.

The game launched on August 4, and initial information suggests that the current season is due to last for nine weeks – at least, according to the countdown in days that appears on the Seasons screen in the menu. This would then put the Fall Guys Season 2 start date as Tuesday October 6, assuming that it follows directly on from the end of the season in progress. Of course, as we’ve seen with other games such as Fortnite these season dates don’t always turn out as planned, so we’ll have to wait until nearer the time due to potential delays before we can lock in the exact date when Fall Guys Season 2 will start.

Thanks to its recent appearance at Gamescom Opening Night Live, we now have a much better idea of what will be included in Fall Guys Season 2. You can see it in action by watching the video above, introduced by the game’s lead designer Joe Walsh. “Fall Guys Season 2 will bring the dragon fire with feudal fortresses, knockout knights and pugilistic paladins among new additions coming this October. A full season of new costumes, emotes and more will reward players as they lay siege to the Middle Ages,” reads the new season’s official synopsis.

New rounds are promised for Fall Guys Season 2, including one where it appears players have to drag blocks of various sizes around and construct staircases to ascend to the next game area. Joe Walsh tells us we’ll be able to “traverse giant drawbridges, dodge swinging axes, and scale moveable siege ramps in the quest for ultimate game show glory.” Existing rounds such as Egg Scramble and Hoopsie Daisy are also shown in the fresh Medieval setting, so most if not all of your existing favourites should hopefully make it through.

A whole new wardrobe of Medieval outfits, emotes, and more are also on the way, so you can dress up your jelly bean to match the Middle Ages theme surrounding them in Fall Guys Season 2. It’s likely that we’ll get another set of 40 items to unlock by progressing through Episodes and levelling up, as the first season features a generous selection of cosmetic items, as well as a total of 19,500 Kudos and 3 Crowns in-game currency to earn for free.

We should also see a continuation of the regular updates to the Shop, where your accumulated Kudos and Crowns can be used to purchase more customisation options. We’ve already had featured costume crossovers including Jacket from Hotline Miami, Bullet Kin from Enter The Gungeon, and P-Body from Portal, so it’s likely that more publishers will be lining up for a similar treatment as the popularity of Fall Guys continues to grow.
